What it will cost to walk in and ride.

Two internal workbooks price the same campus, and they do not agree. Rather than pick one and pretend to precision we do not have, every line below is published as a band across both, with the mid-point stated. All figures in South African Rand, exclusive of VAT.

Proposed - not confirmedProject Motion is pre-acquisition with no operating venue. Every rate below is a planning estimate benchmarked against comparable South African and international venues, and must be validated by a willingness-to-pay study before launch. All figures exclude VAT.

Workbook A - pricing assumptions & master inputs

A single adult base rate of R150 with every other line derived from stated discount and premium assumptions: child 45% off, pensioner 30% off, athlete grounds entry 45% off, family bundle 20% off, event-day premium +50%, and a prepay ladder of 5% (3-month), 10% (6-month) and 18% (annual).

Workbook B - proposed admission, pay-to-play & membership fee structure

A granular proposal splitting weekday, weekend / public holiday and school-holiday peak pricing, with four competition-day tiers, session-level pay-to-play products per node and seven named membership tiers.

Community access comes first

The 20-year community-access charter sits above this schedule, not inside it. Verified youth-academy and scholarship participants enter free, and a defined allocation of free or heavily subsidised memberships is reserved for community and academy participants. The commercial tiers below do not replace that commitment.

Workbook B adds a school-holiday peak surcharge of +R20 (child, pensioner) to +R40 (adult) on admission and +R20 to +R150 on pay-to-play sessions. Workbook A carries no dynamic or peak pricing at all - it is listed there as a gap still to be modelled.

Workbook A prices event days differently: a single +50% premium on the non-event rate, producing R225 adult, R123.75 child and R157.50 pensioner regardless of the calibre of the competition. The tiered view above is the more defensible of the two because ticket yield at a World Cup stop and at a national championship are not the same product - but the flat premium is retained here as the conservative bound. Competing accredited athletes enter free in both workbooks; a non-competing athlete wanting to train on an event day pays R123.75 in Workbook A, subject to venue availability.

Pay-to-play session time is charged in addition to the relevant grounds-entry fee in Workbook A; Workbook B's session rates are quoted inclusive of entry for players. Reconciling that difference is the first thing an operating rate card has to settle, because it moves the effective adult price of a single visit by R80 - R130.

Equipment hire - boards, bikes, harnesses, helmets and protection - which is a separate revenue line (estimated ~R60 - R90 per unit).
Coaching, squad training and academy fees for non-scholarship participants.
Parking, locker hire and F&B, which are separate ecosystem revenue streams.
Dynamic or surge pricing beyond Workbook B's flat peak surcharge.
VAT - every figure is shown exclusive of VAT and would need gross-up on a published rate card.
Elasticity: no demand response to price is modelled in either workbook.

Benchmarks used

South African indoor climbing gyms in Cape Town and Johannesburg - day-pass and membership structures.
South African trampoline parks - hourly jump rates of roughly R100 - R180.
Private and commercial South African skateparks and BMX tracks - session and day-rate pricing.
Cape Town paid visitor attractions, including the Cape Wheel and Two Oceans Aquarium, for general-admission willingness to pay.
Local water and adventure parks (Valley of Waves, Wild Waves) for family-day admission benchmarks.
International inland surf parks on Wavegarden-class technology, adjusted down for the local market.
South African multi-sport and gym membership structures for the tenure-discount ladder.
