Founder
The accountable person.
Twenty years of hospitality operations and twelve years across local and international film and television production - two disciplines that between them cover the operating reality and the media engine Project Motion is built on.
David Dunn has amassed more than 20 years in hospitality, spanning hotels, restaurants, cafes, coffee shops, nightclubs, bars, cocktail lounges, franchise stores and standalone operations. The route was earned from the floor up: waiter, then mixologist and flair-tender in boutique cocktail bars and nightclubs, then Bar Manager in franchise restaurants and independent coffee shops, and on to Area Manager and General Manager across quick-service outlets, hotels and established franchise groups. That path covers back of house, front of house and bar operations, food and beverage menu development, and an established supplier network.
Alongside that, a collective 12 years in film and television on both local and international productions. The discipline of coordination, timing and delivering under deadline in high-pressure production environments is the same discipline the Building Motion docuseries and the campus media programme depend on.
He works at senior operational level - the Operations Director end of the scale - with working knowledge of South African hospitality regulatory standards, applied-psychology and SACAP-informed coaching, and hard-won experience of service recovery in tourist-driven environments. He is also the founder of Ordo Ab Chao, a hospitality operational-excellence consultancy.
Stated plainly: this is an operations, hospitality and production track record, not a record of delivering capital projects at R450M scale. That is precisely why the roles below are being recruited before construction capital is drawn, and why development and construction leadership is the first appointment sought.

Every executive role below is unfilled. Each card states the mandate, the credentials sought and when the appointment is expected relative to close - so a diligence team can price the gap rather than guess at it.
Own land acquisition, rezoning, professional team appointment and delivery of the phased build programme.
Seeking · Track record delivering mixed-use or sports infrastructure above R500M in South Africa; CoCT planning experience essential.
Take ownership of the integrated model, replace placeholder inputs with sourced data, and lead DFI and institutional diligence.
Seeking · CA(SA) with project-finance or DFI-facing experience; blended-finance structuring.
Venue operations, safety, staffing model and the day-one operating readiness plan.

Sponsorship, naming rights, memberships, retail and the events commercial programme.

Building Motion, the rights library, formats, distribution and brand-integration inventory.

Governance
Structure, without gloss.
Project Motion Holdings (Pty) Ltd, incorporated in South Africa, is the legally accountable entity for the project, the brand and all correspondence.
David Dunn is currently the sole director. No other directors have been appointed as at the date of publication.
An independent non-executive board, together with an audit and risk committee and a social and ethics committee, is to be constituted at first institutional close. Investor board representation is expected to form part of the subscription terms.
No advisory board is yet formally appointed. Every organisation and individual named elsewhere on this site - developers, contractors, suppliers, funders, federations, event promoters, brands and endorsers - is prospective or desired only. None has been approached or appointed, none holds office, mandate or equity, and no partnership, sponsorship, endorsement or construction contract is in place.
No audit has been performed. Auditors, attorneys and a quantity surveyor are to be appointed alongside the CFO appointment, before construction capital is drawn.
The project is currently dependent on its founder. Reducing that dependency through the appointments listed above is treated as a condition of institutional close, not an afterthought.
